The specialized training takes place in a classroom setting at Hycal with half of the day spent on petroleum engineering subjects such as: special core analysis, fluid analysis, PVT, equation-of-state modeling, thermodynamics, rising bubble technology (RBA), miscible flooding, waterflooding, reservoir engineering, numerical simulation, and computer skills to perform and evaluate all tests.
The other half-day will be spent working on various laboratory projects such as: corefloods related to secondary and tertiary recovery, simulation, phase behavior studies, formation damage studies and horizontal drilling.
